Meet The Team!
As the President of SCJ, Mike Hammon has lent 30+ years of his industry experience to create a culture of driven individuals who drive SCJ forward. Guided by a decisive vision for the future, he has contributed in building a framework for companies who seek to transition through portfolios of bad debt. He embodies the mission of the company; helping and supporting people. Mike’s favorite part of the job is seeing individuals around him grow and strive to their full potential. Outside of work Mike enjoys golf and quality time with his family.
Michael Hammon
A degree holder in legal studies, with a background in the auto-finance industry, Scott Ogden has taken on the reign as Executive Vice President for SCJ. While establishing policies and procedures, he also oversaw the development of 4 new division implementations. Carrying a track record of success attributed to being a passionate and driven individual, he has redefined SCJs role from a collections agency to a commercial debt buying company. With a keen understanding for navigating contractual purchases, as well as the ins and outs of the debt buying process; Scott has forged strong relationships across the financing industry to alleviate bad debt. In his free time Scott enjoys playing golf.
Scott Ogden
Kirsten has established herself as an active member for her industry and community. Selected as a Monitor Next Gen: 40 Under 40 leader and Monitor's Top 50 Women for 2023, she has demonstrated her commitment to better serve the finance industry. Kirsten has placed SCJ on the map as the Director of Marketing, organizing countless events, and establishing SCJ as a presence for when it is time to capitalize on non-paying accounts. As well as actively acquiring equipment finance portfolios; Kirsten is a part of the NEFA membership committee, NEFA Next Gen leadership, NEFA Marketing committee and NEFA Women’s committee. She is a diligent member of the ELFA’s Women’s Council. Kirsten enjoys cooking new and exciting meals in her free time for friends and family.

Baron has solidified himself as a proud member of the SCJ family over the last 9 years. His experience as a collection manager has strengthened the relationships between our collections department and customers. His refreshingly different approach assists our customers in resolving outstanding debts. As a Collection Manager he thinks outside of the box for what will benefit both parties. Baron’s favorite part of the job is the people. He enjoys the close-knit community we have at SCJ and strives to maintain and nurture it. Outside of work he enjoys coaching competitive travel softball.

Deserea Chevarria
Deserea Chevarria is the Recovery and Remarketing Manager for SCJ. Her experience includes 5+ years within the auto-finance industry, as well as being seated in a Remarketing role for 4 years. She oversees all operations regarding remarketing and repossession efforts against delinquent accounts. Deserea is a proud member of ELFA. In her free time, she enjoys attending racecar events and snowboarding during the winter.
Chris has been a member of SCJ since 2021. With an accreditation of 25+ years industry experience, he brings a plethora of knowledge as a collections manager. Being enamored with the company’s culture, he instills his experience across our team. Helping our team grow and succeed is his favorite part of the job as well as making the collection process as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Outside of work Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandson, as well as coaching little league baseball.
